Though it differs slightly from similar applications, iWrite can still make it easier for you to keep, edit, and organize your journal. The program's crowded design isn't the most appealing we've seen, and it took us a while to fully understand what all the icons did. However, you can arrange records by days or group them into categories, allowing you to quickly see all information related to a particular topic. iWrite also has a very good search function that can find synonyms and similar-sounding words, as well as create complex search queries. The utility displays your diary either as tabs or as a single text divided into chapters, and lets you organize text in paragraphs or highlight necessary passages. You also have the option to insert images, Excel spreadsheets, or Word documents, though the program won't accept URLs. If privacy is a concern, just use the password-protection feature. If you can get past the somewhat daunting interface, iWrite offers both home users and professionals a decent way to record their daily activities.

  Version: iWrite 3.2

  "Difficult"

  Pros: While I did come to appreciate the organize by date function...

  Cons: the difficulty of using this program overshadowed it. When you write, you want to just get right to it, not spend time trying to understand/use a difficult interface. The icons were confusing. I wouldn't recommend it.

  Version: iWrite 3.2

  "search doesn't work"

  Pros: It works fine with the tabs and categories.

  Cons: But I paid for it mainly for the full text search function that it claims to have in the standard version. Howerver after paying 39 dollars, it tells me that to use search function i have to upgrade, which i have already done!! I try to get support but no reply. I even tried to call but the phone number is wrong. so i basically paid for nothing!! don't even know if this so called company exists for real!!
