iWebLock Browser and Internet Monitoring Agent help prevent access to inappropriate internet material. The browser provides easy-to-use navigation features found in most browsers. When the Internet Monitoring Agent detects that inappropriate material is being accessed, it deploys a blocking screen which prevents the user from viewing the content of the site being accessed. The blocking feature will also prevent the user from refreshing, printing, previewing, and saving the link to the unwanted internet material. The Internet Monitoring Agent can be set to block most commonly used commercial browsers from being started. By using this powerful feature, users will not be able to activate another browser installed in the computer such as IE, Mozilla Firefox, among others. The Internet Monitoring Agent also functions as a simple and effective personal firewall. It lets the parent allow or deny access to sites through a very intuitive user interface.

Stop kids from surfing to inappropriate sites with this effective browser alternative that also blocks using other browsers. iWebLock is the browser component of this two-step method to prevent kids from accessing inappropriate content. Its sleek, modern design won't have much of a learning curve for anyone who's used another Internet browser. The pared-down toolbar displays only the basic navigational controls, a search box, and an address field.

The program's options make it easy to prevent access to 10 other browsers from the well-known Internet Explorer and Firefox to the lesser-known browsers like Flock and Maxthon. It is pretty easy to manually block sites as well as give others your seal of approval.

The program adds an automatic filter to scan sites before displaying them in the browser. There is a slight delay while iWSentry checks the page, but we found it acceptable. The app blocks editing the filter, but we found it comprehensive.

Both components are protected by a password you set up. The iWeblock Browser and iWSentry were easy to use and didn't let a single blocked or inappropriate site through during testing. The 10-day trial is on the short side, but it's still long enough to give this program a thorough test. We recommend this browser alternative for any parent who wants to slow child access to certain sites and content types.
