  I got DBpoweramp back in 2013 to rip CDs to FLAC as well as to convert these to mp3 for my car audio system. Very satisfied. Today (July 2015), I upgraded to R15 for iOS (I had previously used it on Windows). Works flawlessly and I am impressed with the speed! Highly recommended.

  Been using this program for over 10 years and have had little problems using. Very easy to recover registration information just by using e-mail address when purchased.

  Cons

  The AccurateRip feature can be extremely slow in Secure Rip mode especially with scratched discs.

  the cd ripper works fine but , really? how many options are there for that? so who cares.

  Cons

  the converter is completely useless and worse because you will waste endless hours trying to make the magic unicorn appear only to finally realize it doesn't exist. the unicorn being a true batch converter.again, many programs can take a simple CD's worth of tracks and convert them. there should be a class action suit against all the hucksters out there shilling this crap. yes, I am mad at myself finally for searching so mindlessly for the unicorn. save your self respect and just don't bother.you're just going to have to rip your entire library twice, or thrice depending on your needs.zero stars

  the converter is a nightmare.period. maybe it's the 'updates'. god knows it wouldn't be the first time a software developer released half baked goods.support is none existent. finally I just feel completely ripped off. I'm convinced that there really is no such thing as a "batch converter " that works.it's the damn unicorn. not real!!! take the rating and minus 5

  Been using it for a year now and it is so fast when ripping. Always pulls the album cover image and has lots of ripping options like saving to different formats and locations all in one rip. I use Flac and mp3.

  This is a great tool. I've used it for many years and used it mainly for converting wav and mp3 files; some cda files. Music. it has done a great job in every case.

  Cons

  There is only one complaint for this software. I bought the package about 3 years ago. My computer crashed recently and I lost the program. Now I see that the package costs $38. if I used it every day it would surely justify that expense. However, I don't. so, now am searching for an alternative choice.

  Summary

  Go for this if you use it frequently. you won't be disappointed. but, look for another option if you would use infrequently.

  Bought the software and converted my music library to WAV with it. Worked most of the time. Uninstalled because Win7 reported it was using *16GB* of HDD. Went to re-install and couldn't locate the serial number. The Illustrate site reports that there aren't any orders found for my email address. No prob - I email customer service. Mr. dBAmp himself sends a 1 sentence reply (no joke) saying they don't keep records past 6 months for 'security reasons'. Deep breath, I make a friendly reply asking if they email confirmations - you know, he can tell me what the sending address is - I'll just find it myself and I'm set. Easy. Nope. He sends me another snarky 1 sentence reply saying they 'email confirmations twice'. That's it. It's a slightly easier for him to just tell me to eff off, so he does. Don't give this joker your money. I'm out what I paid. Many other products do this sort of thing - choose those instead.

  *program shows that it is using full capacity (quad core) of my I-5 CPU to blaze through conversions *converted 200+ gig library from WAV to FLAC in many fewer hours than WinAMP, MediaMonkey *allows you to convert files within a folder and maintain file hierarchy but . . .

  Cons

  *I have not yet mastered the settings so a lot of my tracks are showing up in other separate folders *Album art on 2/3 of my CD folders did not get converted over, very possibly due to my own error. Still this has not proven seamless or easy as I would have liked.
