The next-gen Zune software embraces an intuitive, minimalist design with engaging visual imagery. The app is broken down into four sections: Collection (your library), Device, Marketplace, and Social. Right-click on any artist, album, or track for a contextual menu. Plus, you can choose from a variety of backgrounds to personalize the look and feel. iPod integration is a welcome improvement. Despite some initial performance snags using Windows XP, Zune Software 2.0 makes using Microsoft's Zune pleasing on the eyes as well as the ears.

  Zune

  the worst program to use for Zune is the ONLY program to use for Zune...so far!

  Pros: -it looks...uh, nice?

  Cons: -it constantly rearranges either my music or tags into other folders.

  -sometimes doesn't transfer all my music...this "sync"ing process it has has sunk to a new low with me!

  -i've lost about 25+ songs thanks to this ****** program...first appearing when attached to pc, then later disappearing for good when unattached...HUH?!

  -i can't use my fave music media center, media monkey, with it...downloading winamp and it wouldn't even notice the zune attached to the pc...i also heard you can't even use windows media center with it also, even though it's microsoft also.

  -i really regret having a zune 80 now...and i hate apple ipods...guess i'll continue using my dell mp30...works with anything and everything, except without the graphics and radio.

  Pros: Love the new look and feel of it. you can sync wirelessly from your comp(can be a challenge 2 figure out)

  and the firmware update on the Zune is nice 2

  Cons: update didnt want 2 install 4 me but i figured it out and works great now!!

  Awful- Why isn't the Zune compatible with WMP?

  Pros: It works OK once it's been running fifteen minutes

  Cons: It takes 15 min. minimum to start, then you have to click from menu to menu for about five minutes before you can read anything or see anything! Almost impossible to try to run any other program within the first 20 minutes of starting it. I hate using it. Microsoft needs to focus more on functionality than on how visually pleasing it is.
