Pros: Is very easy to use, and does it's job. Seems like a quick fix and the notes say it was due to a bug with CPU usage being excessive. I never experienced it on it.
Cons: Antivirus monitoring isn't free, however even when it was AVG Antivirus isn't detected. AVG is good enough and by golly 30 million users worldwide demands it be detectable with ZA.

Did not find any way to have the network function with ZoneAlarm... other than disable it!

I installed it in my PC (AMD athlon 64 2800, 512MB memory, 128MB ATI Radeon video card) but every time I try to connect to the net (thru dial-up), blue screen appears telling that "windows shutdown my system to prevent further damage......" I tried to disable my antivirus and spyware prior to connecting to the net but still the problem persists. Maybe its not an average-user program...

Not sure what you meant regarding Zone Alarm and the effect on AVG Antivirus. I use AVG and would like information on the compatability with Zone Alarm.

This reply is to CaptainJT. What I meant is with the free version of ZoneAlarm, if you have antivirus monitoring on and you have AVG Antivirus (freeware) installed, ZA simply does not detect AVG running, that's all I meant. The monitoring is good for 30 days I believe in the free ZA version anyhow. AVG is certainly popular enough by now to be added to ZA's development team for future updates of it's firewall app.

You had me a tad concerned there, but when I checked, AVG was on my program control list. Then I figured out you were referring to the Antivirus monitoring tab. You do realize this "feature" is more of a marketing scheme to get you to buy THEIR antivirus software, don't you?

alasanon, yes it certainly makes sense. Why does everything have to be about money?! LOL.
