Powerful and easy to use, Xlight FTP Server takes away much of the pain of running an FTP site. To start, you set up a virtual server through the New Virtual Server command on the Settings menu. From that point, the elegant and straightforward interface makes adding users and setting their permissions painless. The Configuration button leads to the meat of the program, where you can modify users, groups, security settings, and access rules, as well as set virtual paths. You can disable individual FTP commands for each user and group. Security options allow you, among many other things, to block or trust specific IP addresses. Broadband users will appreciate the WAN IP Auto Detection option. We like the ability to remotely configure servers. If you need a painless FTP server solution, Xlight makes an attractive option.
