From Palm:

HotSync 3.0.4 features better backup/restore operations, support for PalmConnect USB adapter, faster serial link speed (115kbps), support for IR HotSync operations, and support for all available COM ports. This update does not install a full version of the Palm Desktop software; it installs only an update to existing software. Note: Handspring users should not run-install this upgrade, as it will create incompatability problems.

"upgrade to hot sync! not palm os"

Summary: This is a good upgrade 3.0.4 and should not be confused with an upgrade of the palm os which is currently 3.5
