From Microsoft:This download will install some of the updates and fixes available in Windows 98 Service Pack 1. It includes an Active Accessibility update, USB updates that resolve connection and data transfer issues, networking updates, and several other fixes and updates. Also included is an update that will fix the bug that caused a Windows 98 computer to hang after 49.7 days of continuous operation. The Download Now link will direct you to a page on the Microsoft Web site where you can download the file.

"this update was made for the Win98"
Summary: when someone says Win98 he means the first edition unless he typed it like this Win98 SE then he means the second edition so i guess many didnt noticed that thanks everyone and have fun.

"This Windows 98 Update is Poor"
Summary: NOTE: This Microsoft Windows 98 Update is for Microsoft Windows 98 First Editiion. This is NOT for Microsoft Windows 98 Second Edition. Therefore, this update is useless to Microsoft Windows 98 Second Edition, and a waste of time/space.
