This utility strikes us as a souped-up version of Windows' built-in Task Manager. The crowded and chaotic interface could well be this program's biggest flaw, as the amount of buttons may seem overwhelming at first glance. Similar to the Task Manager, WinTasks Professional can stop any process running on your PC at any time, but it also provides some additional handy features. For example, you can increase or decrease the priority of any running module, choose what applications launch on boot up, or block certain malicious programs from running altogether. The utility also lets you manage running scripts, see a list of active DLL files, and receive statistics on your computer's performance. This program isn't a must-have for average users, but more savvy folks will like the amount of control it offers.

  Pros: THis is a great experience to learn how to properly remove Stubborn poorly written programs. A Couple of decent features nonetheless, but I wish adjustments were permanent. ie defaulting a specific program to higher priority. Or permanantly disallowing an .exe to start everytime. I spent too much time with this product only learning later that Freebies like What's Running (Available here at DNLD.COM) are so much more detailed

  Cons: 50 Bucs ??? Are you kidding me. THis is a decent company there product "speedupmypc" is quality. This one is junk. Truly to have the absolute best in just my opinion is "SECURITY TASK MANAGER" also available here Well laid out. very easy to read and follow, which has an excellent feature called Quarantine 29 Dollars.

  WORTHLESS!

  Pros: None. Task Manager does the same thing with the exception that WinTasks tells you on screen if the process is necessary. Google.com (Necessary Precesses) does the same thing for FREE!

  Cons: Complicated. Confusing. Free Task Manager does the same thing wihout letting the owner get in trouble with DLL problems. Task MAnager is free!

  Pros: Nothing

  Cons: Did the trial. Had to download a patch to get rid of it. Made Windwos lock up.

  No use for this program

  Pros: THis program does very little. there are many FREE online sites that will discribe what back ground program is running, for example pac-man. using control/alt/delete and using a free online program does the same with more benefits and NO MONEY. the interface looks like it was made from someone with little computer knowledge in programing. and worst of all the program does NOt want to delete from windows! must edit the reg to uninstall correct.

  Cons: This product doesn't do what it says, slows and locks up windows XP. You can't get a refund or uninstall or contact anyone. I even paid for their premium support and then when I try to use it they say that you can't submit that prblem. The refund Dept. says that they can't help me they are just the website provider, etc.
