Publisher's description of Wildlife Tycoon: Venture Africa
Create and control lions, elephants, zebras, and more in this unique and deceptively deep strategy game. To succeed you'll have to discover the unique behaviors of each species and build food and water sources to suit them. Plan your ecosystem well so that you can help both predator and prey achieve balance in the wild. You trade flowers to place a new animal in the world. As you build populations of various species, you will be rewarded with jewels. Spend those jewels to build improvements for your animals, such as trees, grasses, or watering holes.
Eventually, fulfill your overarching goal to move on to the next level. You can also select any animal and teach it about far away food sources, or select a predator in order to cull a herd of disruptive herbivores. The strategy is deep, and the replayability endless.

Pros: Not one for shoot 'em ups, or money ventures or careering around some track in a fast car/bike/boat whatever... this game is just what I was looking for. I can create an ecosystem on a series of different landscapes. Building up animal populations in sync with vegetation, water and predator/prey dynamics, I find fascinating, absorbing and addictive. Its great fun and though probably aimed more for a younger persons age group, I'm a forty plus person who just gets engrossed and submerged into the fun of it. I've had the game for over a year now... and still find it as great to play, if not more so as I try new strategies, as I did when I first got it.
Posted this under PC version by mistake so have redone it here.
Cons: The only small thing I would perhaps comment on here (and in my opinion it is only a small thing), is the graphics may not be as slick as some of the other games I have seen being used. But then this game was developed by a small company with a limited budget and the enjoyment of balancing the animals with each other and the food//water sources far outstrip any need for so called slickness
