  Decent

  Pros: It's a program I would recommend for those who already have some experience with something like Windows Movie Maker. It's a good product for casual usage.

  Cons: I expected more from this, I've also tried the regular Vegas Movie Studio 8 and this is not noticeably better, rip-off compared to Movie Studio 8.0.

  I hate it

  Pros: The main part of the program works great

  Cons: The capturing part freezes my computer and I have a brand new QUAD processor. If you do alot of video this program really sucks. Both of my computers hate the program.

  Difficult w/AVCHD files

  Pros: Pretty box. Easy to install.

  Cons: After 10 years using Adobe Premiere products, I find Vegas unintuitive, and well difficult. Maybe my 58 year old brain is too old to learn anymore.

  Reliably crashes and burns after opening AVCHD files

  Pros: Nothing to like here. Download was a waste of time.

  Cons: On average, I managed three mouse moves after opening a file and the application went unresponsive. I run Vista with 2GB of RAM.
