Monitor your Web server. Any downtime of your Web site will result in moneraty loss. With this monitoring tool you may constantly check the response from your server and make sure that your Web site is online hundred percent of the time. This software can periodically poll a specified URL on your HTTP or FTP server and alert you if your site suddenly becomes not accessible. Report generation and direct print out are available. Version 2.8 includes unspecified updates.

  URL Monitoring Tool

  Needs work on the basics

  Cons: I can't address how well it does it's job because I ran into enough bugs and design flaws in the first couple minutes working with it to give up on it.

  1) Can't edit URLs once added--if you make a typo your only recourse is to remove it and add it again.

  2) Does little if any syntax checking of the URLs entered--ie it allows www [dot] example [dot] com (even just "example") without the preceding http:, but it fails to reach the site

  3) Doesn't show up in the ALT-TAB switch programs window

  4) Can too easily get in the situation where it's waiting for the Settings dialog to be closed, but the Settings dialog isn't visible on the screen--Task Manager End Program only way out

  5) Remove button is available even when no URLs are selected to be removed
