TweakEasy Professional: A professional yet easy-to-use Windows tweaking utility with 2494 policies to configure. TweakEasy Professional enables you to tweak a variety of Windows settings and apply them as a policy, so they cannot be changed by other users. The program includes access to almost 2500 settings that are categorized in folders and include a short description of their functionality.

The policy cover all aspects of the operating system, including network settings, control panel access, printers, user accounts, device installation, Internet Explorer settings and much more. A built-in search feature enables you to locate specific policies by keyword, and a bookmark option lets you save them in a list for quick access. Other features include policy report generation, logging of changes, and password protected interface. Version 4.4 rebuilt using Visual C++ 8.0 SP1, added Unicode support, and performed minor changes.

Enter the world of Windows Policies and tweaks with this well-written and very useful utility. TweakEasy Professional's very basic text and three-pane interface won't impress anyone. That is, until they start to use and really appreciate how logically arranged and informative it is. While not a program for novices, experienced users will be very happy to read the program's short manual.

The joy of operating TweakEasy Professional is in the program's three views. The Policies Browser places the more than 2,000 tweaks in a simple list arranged by system. An easy-to-use search screen makes finding tweaks a quick process. Finally, power users can choose to save tweaks in a special Bookmark List.

The keys to any tweak program are information and usefulness. Each tweak includes an information pane explaining system requirements, a general tweak description, and an explanation on the ramifications of enabling, disabling, or not configuring the tweak. That's a welcome amount of information that is very unusual in this genre. Changing any tweak is a mere matter of double clicking it and choosing Enable, Disable, or Don't Configure from a simple pull-down.

The great downside to this demo is the too-short 15-day trial. That's barely long enough to get a taste of this program's extensive collection of tweaks. Nevertheless, we can easily recommend giving TweakEasy Professional a test run.

  TweakEasy free...is a bold face lie.

  Pros: Nothing.

  Cons: Don't waste your time.

  They claim it's a free version but it's not true.

  Free to download and then you have to pay.

  This program is 100% bogus!!!

  On some sites it's listed as freeware.

  Total lies.

  When you try to find the freeware version

  the site re-directs you to the paid version.

  Company deception at it's finest.

  And Cnet goes right along with it as long

  as there getting paid.
