Tux Paint is a free drawing program for Windows, Mac OS X and Linux that is designed for young children (kids 3 and up). It has a simple, easy-to-use interface, fun sound effects, and an encouraging cartoon mascot who helps guide children as they use the program. It provides a blank canvas and a variety of drawing tools to help your child be creative. Tux Paint has been translated into nearly 70 languages. An optional Rubber Stamp collection provides over 250 images which can be pasted into pictures, to help jump-start the creative process. A configuration tool for parents and teachers allow Tux Paint to be adjusted for a child's or school's individual needs.

Version 0.9.19 may include unspecified updates, enhancements, or bug fixes.

  very nice application for kids

  Pros: kids familiarize really well with it ...my niece even showed me a few things she found all by herself
