Version: TubeSucker 1.0.005
"It actually works! I can download and save YouTube videos on my computer."
Pros: VideoNut's review was thorough. The free version's fine for me. I dont mind downloading one video at a time. Things to do: 1) download TubeSucker from CNET; 2) download FLV video codec(Total Video Convertor program) from effectmatrix.com/total-video-converter; 3) run both installation programs; 4) start TubeSucker and click on Preferences tab to save preferences before searching for videos; 5) search for video in Search tab(type "youtube.com" in search box) and if you find the video you want, click "Download this Video" button to download (you have to wait for video to finish, download finishes when video finishes); 6) check download success by clicking on "Play" tab and going on "My Videos" folder to see if video was downloaded there. It should be in a sub folder.

Cons: Getting started was kind of confusing. The codec is actually embedded in the Total Video Player program that comes with Total Video Convertor 3.0; so, after you install Total Video Convertor 3.0, you can begin downloading and watching YouTube videos.
