Publisher's description of TrueDownloader
TrueDownloader is a open-source download manager and accelerator with features such as as the ability to pause/resume downloads, simultaneous downloads, and segmented downloads for acceleration. Both HTTP and FTP protocols are supported, and it's very fast. You even can improve it or adapt it to your needs, since it's open source. Some special features such as HTTP/FTP proxy support and ZIP previewing are supported, too. The application flawlessly integrates into Internet Explorer, Mozilla, and FireFox thanks to the Extension Technology.

Pros: Did what it says. Made downloading a little bit faster.
Cons: DownThemAll is much better. It has a much smaller file, and downloads faster.

Pros: Great user interface, nice features like viewing contents of zip files, and works well with low CPU.
This application is open source and contains no spyware - download the source on sourceforge.net if you are skeptical.
Cons: none so far!

Pros: Wow. Speedbit has really left its soldier (read: DAP) to rot in the cold. TrueDownloader is a great program all-around. And since it's open-source, it's a perfect supplement for Linux, too!
