Though you can't buy a tropical paradise for $15, you can buy this lovely screensaver. If you stare at the screen and wish really hard, Tropical Island Escape's tremendous graphics and animation will whisk you away to the land of your dreams. Here you are a god, able to set the hour of dusk and dawn and the speed of the passing day. Press a key to hear monkeys, parrots, or seagulls crying, or provide your own soundtrack if you prefer.

True, not everything is perfect in this idyllic scene. Holding the hot keys too long turns the cries of animals into a cacophony. And the trial version gives you only a few days in Eden. But in spite of those quibbles, we think Tropical Island Escape is a bargain--certainly a whole lot cheaper than a package tour to the Bahamas.
