If you're on the hunt for a good spyware remover, Trend Micro is a solid choice with some extra features that make it an even sweeter deal. A clean and simple interface makes it easy to understand how to use the program right away, and extensive help is only a click away when anything is not immediately apparent.

The scan time for this tool is among the fastest in our tests, and malware threats are identified and removed with ease. We like the added features for cleaning your Web cache and cookies. The document shredder for files you want permanantly deleted is another nice touch. This program also features a real-time detection feature called Venus Spy Trap that alerts you to threats as they try to connect, but we found it to be a bit of a memory hog--though perhaps that's the price you pay for full protection.

Overall, we think Trend Micro Anti-spyware would make a good second choice (we recommend two) for your antispyware arsenal.

  Pros: really light on cpu useage

  Cons: dection is crappy and removel is like 50%

  This was hell..

  Pros: Got rid of SOME viruses (unless they were false positive)

  Cons: I've had adware and spyware on my computer for the longest time, i finally got around to buying an anti-virus program, i picked "Trend micro plus 2008". After installing it and stuff, i ran a scan. I started the scan at 6 PM... I checked up on it every few minutes.. It didn't finish scanning until morning. The worst part is that it didn't even remove the ANNOYING adware.

  Pros: Worked well but slowed my computer down.. 1 GB Ram.

  Cons: The recommendation should be only to people that needs security moore than fast browsing..
