In addition to the standard toolbar fare, Torrent Searcher TB Toolbar promises a torrent searcher as a welcome extra. Sounds great, but the torrent searcher--the one feature that would have set it apart from myriad other toolbars--failed to work.

Torrent Searcher TB Toolbar for Firefox is easily customized. It includes all the standards you'd expect to find--e-mail notification, pop-up blocker, and weather forecast--and all performed without any issues. The Internet radio includes a wide variety of radio stations, and it plays without interruption. All was well until we tested the torrent search drop-down menu on the toolbar. The menu includes various torrent topics such as Finance, Science, and Music and Lyrics. Clicking on each one introduced a new set of related RSS feeds on the toolbar. However, the links themselves took us to unavailable pages. Without the torrent feature, you're just left with a plain old toolbar.

If you're looking for a free torrent/toolbar combo, keep looking for one with fully functional features.
