Lara Croft is back with another adventure...sort of. In honor of the 10th anniversary of the 'Tomb Raider' adventure game, Eidos has created a retelling of the original story, with a new graphics engine for Lara and a few new moves to boot. Unlike in the original game, you can now control the camera, which is a major improvement.

The demo lets you play through part of the Lost Valley level in Peru. Lara looks better than ever, of course. When she steps out of the water, her body now glistens, and complex facial details like eyelashes almost create an "uncanny valley" affect, where Lara looks a little too human. The gameplay is naturally very similar to the original game, though there are a few new options for hanging and jumping from wall to wall.

You can play with either your keyboard and mouse or a gamepad, and the keys are easily customizable. While the new version of Lara's adventure does add camera control, it's not that easy to find. You'll need to go into the Configuration options in the preferences to manually adjust your Y and Z axis controls. Also, the levels are often a bit lonely, as exciting enemies are few and far between. Nonetheless, it's a very attractive reinterpretation of a classic adventure game that provides a reasonable amount of content in its demo.

  Pros: Graphics are great, Easy install. Very smooth game play. Great game for those who like that type of game genre. I am a First Person Shooter Game Freak.

  WORTH IT!

  Pros: Well, what can I say ? This is probably the only game till date where the sequel is better than the original. Yeah, that's right, Anniversary IS better than Legend.

  Runs smoothly at full settings even on my PC(P4 2.66 GHz, 512 MB, ATI Radeon X300).

  Awesome graphics and action sequences.

  Cons: Still, not my type of game - this is not hard-core action and therefore has been RIGHTLY placed in the Adventure category > Fantasy

  P.S. I actually played this game because my friend kept saying how good it was. But, it isn't the game's fault that it's not quite my type, is it ?

  Pros: This Game is awesome and it does even phase my video card (7900gs) with resolution at 1280x1024.This game is a must!!!

  Magnificent demo: clever puzzles, beautiful imagery.

  Pros: Lara's smooth movements: she grabs ledges, hovers on ropes and poles, shouts when "gets little hurt" from falling or making effort. Very nicely done.

  Stunning camera angles that can be achieved while looking with mouse. Beautiful graphic imagery .

  It took me many hours to figure explore this demo. The puzzles take time to figure out.

  Last and not least, the music score is subtle and very pleasant.

  Cons: What I didn't like?? Nothing... very beautiful demo.
