Publisher's description of Tofu
From Amar Sagoo:Tofu is... different. It is a novel application to address the common problem that people don't like reading text on the screen. Text is usually very wide on the screen, which makes going from the end of one line to the beginning of the next difficult. That's why newspapers have narrow columns: It makes them faster to read.
In Tofu, text is arranged in columns, and each column is only as high as your window. So lines are nice and narrow, they don't move about vertically, plus your text is now in easy-to-digest chunks. You just scroll from column to column horizontally, and feel more in control.
Tofu also includes some other useful features to make reading easier for you. You can jump to any point in your text by simply typing some letters near it (without choosing any command first). There's a "View In Columns" service so you can, for example, grab some text from a web page. And it lets you use your voice to navigate text, so you can literally sit back and read.

Version: Tofu 1.2
"Great software for reading and editing!"
Pros: The presentation of the text in columns not only is easier to read, but as a writer, I find it an invaluable tool for proofreading my work.
Cons: I'd like to have the ability to edit inside Tofu, then cut/paste back to Word, or other applications.

Version: Tofu 1.2
"Easy on the eyes and easy to use"
Pros: Makes reading text easier and faster by breaking full-screen-width text lines into three shorter columns.
Cons: Tofu-ized text, after saving, is almost impossible to read. Won't allow printing directly from application. Occasionally crashes.

Version: Tofu 1.2
Summary: My earlier comment RATHER FACETIOUSLY suggested it be improved to read annoying pdf.files. As is, it is a very useful application. READ my first posted comment. Should be, in my view, FIVE STARS

Version: Tofu 1.2
"Want to read like a newspaper? Get this."
Summary: If you have trouble reading mile-wide text columns, as I do, get this program. I always had problems comprehending text on my computer monitors ever since leaving my 9 inch black and white SE-30 screen. This program brings back easy readability.

Version: Tofu 1.2
Summary: This simple program offers a clever and genuinely useful way of reading lengthy texts on a computer screen without incurring eye strain. The absence of any way to utilize bookmarks is all that kept me from giving the feature rating an "excellent" g... read more >>
