McAfee SiteAdvisor for Internet Explorer
Alerts you about bad web sites.

Pros: Do a Google search on anything when the web site opens, you will see a green, yellow, red, and gray circle at the end of the web links. Site advisor warns you about web sites, that can potentially damage your computer. Site advisor has tested millions of web sites, and has four different colors.
1. Green color is for all safe web sites.
2.Yellow color is web sites that after entering your email address, will send you a lot of spam mail. And downloads from a yellow web site will sometimes, change your browser settings.
3. Red color these are the most dangerous web sites, downloads from a red web site will have adware, and spyware included in the download.
4. Gray color is for web sites that have not been tested, so it's best to stay out of the gray web sites. And there are a lot of web sites, that site advisor will block automatically.

This program component from McAfee are very good to use.
by: BERTOLOFCARBRING1962

Pros: When I am out on the Internet every day so can I see on this SiteAdvisor from McAfee what colouers it have, and when it is allmost green, so are this very good, when the current webpage are very secure to visit, sometimes can this colour made a change to grey, and even be red. And when it have been dark red, so can I understand that this webpage are a spyware program and can get some unwanted things like spyware, viruses, trojanes and other malisious threats, so when this happends, so must I turn my web browser of or click on the current webpage to stop them, and when i even are useing Mozilla Firefox so does this component work in the same direction and do the same things of course. So I can only recommend to use it to everyone.

McAfee SiteAdvisor for Internet Explorer
How many of us actually listen to it's advice?
by: Chainmail2006
on 07-May-2008 05:45:05 AM
Pros: I used to love Site Adviser. But now it's just not something I pay any mind to so I no longer use it. In fact, at this point I'm not using anything by McAfee. Nor for that matter am I using IE much at all. So my question is, How many of us actually listen to it's advice? It was great a few years ago but like I said, I no longer feel the need for it.
Cons: I no longer feel the need for this app. Kids are all grown and gone. I'm past wanting to see the red flag because I'm gonna do what I'm gonna do regardless. In all fairness to those who feel it necessary, 3 stars.
