Publisher's description of Lord of the Rings: Battle for Middle-earth II demo
From EA Games:With all new content from J.R.R. Tolkien's original fiction, delve deeper than ever before and engage in new battles that go beyond the award-winning movie trilogy. Wage war in the North and assume command of the most storied civilizations in all of Middle-earth history--the Elven and Dwarven armies--or fight on the side of Evil with heroes and creatures that have never been seen in The Lord of the Rings films. Defend or overtake lands such as Dol Guldur, The Misty Mountains, and Mirkwood as you unleash powerful new weapons and abilities: summon dragons, cause volcanoes to erupt, or bring down a cataclysmic lightning strike.
This demo includes two different tutorial campaigns and the ability to skirmish as either the dwarves or the elves as you battle for control over Middle-Earth.

Version: Lord of the Rings: Battle for Middle-earth II demo
"The ring is back and it shines more than before!"
Pros: BFME has finally become a RTS with a good promise! At last you can build where YOU want to and aren't forced to build paths anymore. More units are at your disposal and finally we can bring the battle to the open seas. Lots of new options are introduced; like the option to set wood on fire with flaming arrows and destroy your enemie that way. Building your own wall in your own configuration is also a big addition. With the option to create door and defensive structures into the wall.
Cons: Some heroes are too strong and the gameplay is so extensive that Non-RTS players can get scared away.

Version: Lord of the Rings: Battle for Middle-earth II demo
Pros: I've never played any of the Lord of the Rings games and after playing this one I wondered why. The gameplay is awesome. Reminds me a lot of Age of Empires without worrying so much about the resources. Excellent game with much strategy involved. If you liked any of the Civilization or AOE games, you'll love this one. One of those games you can play forever...
Cons: As mentioned in the pros, this game you can play forever. It's the only the demo but I played at least 5 or 6 hours. While this is nothing in the gaming world just realize that there's a tendency to get hooked and forget about everything else. Other than the addictiveness, everything was great except for the occassional pause in gameplay; so just make sure your system is capable.

Version: Lord of the Rings: Battle for Middle-earth II demo
"Its what LOTRBME 1 should have been"
Pros: Its what Lord of the Rings: Battle for Middle Earth 1 should have been. Build anywhere, AI improved, new create your own hero, new powers that are just awesome, units behave as expected for their specific faction. Siege is an important role as it should be. Story is now complete with EA's license to the film as along as with Tolken's books.
Cons: Would have liked to have more maps with the demo, though if you own the first game you can copy and paste the old maps into BFME2 demo maps folder. Biggest con, its a demo, I cannnot wait for the full game! lol

Version: Lord of the Rings: Battle for Middle-earth II demo
"Amazing, Age of Empires eat your heart out"
Pros: Graphics: vivid, rich textures, convincing physics.
Gameplay: Addictive! This game will get you hooked like a basehead on crack. I played until 2AM and didnt even realize how late it was till I stopped. It's worth the 1.4GB download, or buying a retail copy.
