Publisher's description of The GodFather
From Dimitris Touzozoglou:If you own many MP3, OGG, MPC, or APE files, then you know it's easier to end up with a chaotic bunch of files with strange names in wrong locations, than to have an organized collection wherein every file is in the right place, with a perfect name and tag information. The GodFather puts order to chaos and puts you in control. No more strange file names and endless searches for "that song"--you can rename songs, update tags, restructure files on your hard disk, create and merge playlists, encode or decode with LAME/Ogg Vorbis/MPCEnc, and export and import to or from a file and play.

Version: The GodFather 0.70
"Too powerful for it's own good?"
Pros: Provides access to multiple music databases, and parses output. Very many editing features.
Cons: Made the task of organising my collection, an album at a time, even slower than manual editing. Manual tag editing is one screen, batch editing another, renaming another. Edits require an "Apply" button and "Update" button, slowing the workflow even more. After struggling through 10 albums I gave up and switched to MP3Tag, which was much quicker in use. I didn't try any playback, etc. features.

Version: The GodFather 0.70
Pros: I use this program solely for renaming music files and editing mp3 tags. It does the job quickly.
Cons: Not the easiest program to figure out. Once you do, though, it's a breeze to do batch updates.

Version: The GodFather 0.70
"Extremely powerful, non-intuitive interface"
Pros: Extremely powerful tools for keeping your MP3 (or other format) music library in tune and organized. The GodFather is a mandatory addition to my utility library.
Cons: The UI is non-intuitive, but once learned it makes its own kind of sense. Not for the faint of heart or those not willing to put some time into the process.
