From RitLabs:The Bat is an e-mail application that supports multiple POP3 accounts, multithreading, MIME and UUencode standards, multimedia, APOP authorization, and PGP. It features message notification, message sorting, message templates, and minimization to the system tray. You will also find a fast and comfortable message editor with text-highlighting, as well as a mail dispatcher for managing messages on servers. English, Russian, German, Dutch, Polish, Swedish, Italian, Lithuanian, and Romanian interfaces are built in, as is a multilingual spelling checker.
Other features include automatic dial-up networking (which is configurable for multiple accounts), an account-creation wizard, and the option to include a photo with each address-book entry. You can also view HTML messages, use multiple templates as you type a message, exclude certain messages from the MailTicker, and search a folder by typing the first character of its name. There are also enhancements such as message coloring, flagging, advanced filtering, speed improvements, and virus protection. New in release 2.04: Microsoft Exchange server connectivity (requires MS Exchange client to be installed for providing MAPI transport). THEBAT.INI file in the program directory can be used for automatic installation on networks. POP/IMAP/SMTP session logging settings are stored in the Protocol.INI file of the account's home directory; other improvements and bug fixes.
