From Brad Wall: Tail Ace is a powerful tailiing utility for Windows that works similar to the UNIX 'tail -f' command, but with many more features. You can use Tail Ace to monitor changes to files and see those changes in realtime. This program does more than just tail files. Filters to include/exclude lines, color assignments and font sytles can be assigned to words/phrases. Version 1.0.2 is a bug fixing release.

This freeware accurately tracks real-time changes in select files and it's very easy to use, but it's best used by administrators looking to monitor log files. Tail Ace's Mac-like interface uses a simple command button and display interface. The utility can monitor any file for changes, but only a few will find need of its services.
Operating Tail Ace is a piece of cake. Using the standard file browse you merely select files to track. The application immediately displays new lines as they're added to the end of the files. It's easy to set filters per file to display only select lines. If you like seeing every log line you can quickly set the application to color select words. The program also includes a simple text search and file printer. For those who often track the same files, it's easy to save a list of favorites to watch.
While this application isn't of much use to the majority of users, intermediate to advanced users will find Tail Ace is easy to operate and gives useful results.
