The System_Up_Time widget is for use with the Yahoo Widget Engine.

Designed for everyone who would like to take a quick glimpse once in a while at how long the favourite machine has been chugging along since the last OS boot, and especially for all the sysuptime obsessed recorder-holders out there. Here is a list of the main features: diode matrix style alphanumeric display; fully customizable display color; optional display dimmer effect; adjustable Widget size; optional chime on the hour; keeps track of the record time and displays it when requested.

This small application creates a digital display indicating how long since you booted up your computer, but requires another program to work. System_Up_Time's small LED-style screen displays the days, hours, minutes, and seconds of your current computer session. You'll need to have the Yahoo Widget Engine already installed on your computer for the program to work. Preferences are accessible from a right-click menu, letting you change the color and size of the display, have numerals dim when the window is inactive, and have the program include standby time in its session count. You also can opt to add a chime that will discreetly ring at the beginning of every hour. There are other freeware programs within this category that come as stand-alone apps, but users who already have the Yahoo Widget Engine installed and want a simple way to track how long they've been on the computer will appreciate this simple freeware application.
