Easily configurable, very flexible, and secure, this system firewall and antivirus suite delivers, but an install option may trip some users. System Shield's multiple tabbed interfaces are clear and informative. The firewall setup wizard makes it easy to configure the utility to your needs. We had an error installing to one test system as this suite requires uninstalling all other antivirus programs, yet sometimes still notes they are present. Using the option "/skipavfwcheck" at install bypassed that error.

System Shield's Antivirus component's default configuration works well for most common needs. Changing settings is merely a matter of clicking easy-to-understand options. Real-time protection works well, and scans are easy to schedule. The Firewall component's zone security settings are simple to implement and well-explained for novice users. However, experienced users can drill down to deeper settings to personalize protection. Tying the components together is the System Shield analysis tool. It's an interface with wizards to start and stop the other components. It also includes easy methods to update the program plus detailed information on warnings and threats.

System Shield's component approach, pop-up warnings, and simple updating makes it perfect for novice users looking for a complete security system. The program's additional settings will catch the eye of intermediate users searching for a more configurable tool. This suite should appeal to most home users.

Pros: anti virus is good as well as fire wall and security flaw fixer

Cons: anti spyware crappy
