Publisher's description of Swarm

From Reflexive Entertainment: Swarm is a fast-paced, intense game of destruction that immerses you in the world of futuristic corporate servitude. Your name is Rawl Masteson, and your choice was simple: death or indentured service to society. Experience for yourself the more than 100 tailor-made levels providing hours of play. The game includes swarmer missiles and electromines, including a Star Clubber ball-and-chain attachment you have to see. The enemies have personalities--mean ones. The four skill levels are Easy, Normal, Hard, and Insane.

Editor's review of Swarm

4 star editors rating Though it initially seems pointless, this third-person space game will entertain those willing to invest some time. The installation process wasn't as quick as it could have been, and we didn't appreciate the nag screen that appears both before and after gameplay. Swarm boasts appealing and evocative graphics, but unless you read the lengthy tutorial, you probably won't be able to figure out the game's goal. Basically, you follow a blue dot with your spaceship to harvest a fictional substance known as EZG. At the same time, you must avoid both asteroids and enemy fire. The game is highly customizable; you can establish whatever controls you want and navigate with either the keyboard or the mouse. Though your foes are almost completely absent in the earlier levels, they reappear with a vengeance the deeper you get, making the game much more challenging than you might think at first. The 60-minute trial is too short for this slow burn of a game, however. If you're a fan of space shooters and don't demand instant gratification, give Swarm a shot.
