This tiny program doesn't offer a host of features, but Popup Free copes with pop-ups just as well as programs 10 times its size. Popup Free installs as an Internet Explorer module and doesn't consume much memory. In our testing, it killed all intruders. If the program kills a pop-up you want, just move it from the Blocked Windows list to the Allowed list.

In spite of its impressive performance, we find the 14-day trial period a bit too short, particularly when you consider most free Web browsers now feature pop-up protection. Nevertheless, we'd recommend the small, strong Popup Free to those plagued with pop-ups, but concerned about disk space.
