Publisher's description of SugarSync Manager 1.1.4
From Sharpcast:SugarSync is a premium online backup service for protecting your documents, photos, music, videos and more. Your files are automatically backed up to your secure, personal website in real-time; you can then access and share these files from any web browser or mobile phone. Unlike other services, SugarSync allows you to backup as many computers as you'd like with the same account. You can even sync files across these computers. And this all happens securely with SSL file transfer, 128 bit AES encryption and world-class data centers. A computer crashes every five seconds; try SugarSync and get the peace of mind you deserve.
Version 1.1.4 may include unspecified updates, enhancements, or bug fixes.

- "Get to files from anywhere"
SugarSync Desktop offers a complete, but sufficiently compact desktop manager for viewing and arranging the multimedia files that will be stored online as part of the SugarSync service to be retrieved via the SugarSync client on a Mac, other Windows laptops, a BlackBerry or Windows Mobile phone, or from your personal Web address from any other Web-friendly device.
SugarSync gets high ratings for its ease of use, reliability, and above all, its speed. There are nice extra features, like the Magic Briefcase that delivers between platforms the content you drop into it without having to browse through multiple file systems, and a quick link to your personal Web site. A search field would not go amiss, especially if you're not certain of your file's location and haven't had the foresight to include your file into the briefcase. Despite that, this service makes mincemeat of many competitors in the remote access space for its ability to monitor multiple computers and platforms with little fuss.

Version: SugarSync Manager 1.1.4
"Convenient, but Unacceptably Dangerous"
Pros: You can have access to all your critical files from any computer, which would make this the ultimate great software except for one totally stupid, easily fixable, but absolutely unacceptable security flaw.
Cons: Unfortunately, sugarsync has made it so that lots of other people can have access to all your critical files, too. If you ever access your data from a public computer, there is a good chance anyone who uses that computer will be able to access your stuff. Why? Because sugarsync made the default setting on the login screen "Remember me on this computer". If you forget to uncheck that box, anyone who goes to that site will have access to every piece of data you have. It's totally crazy. I made this mistake once at a library about an hour from my home. I had to drive all the way back to the library to logout. Have no idea if anything had been compromised while I was away. It makes me sick to think about. I don't understand it, either. They go to all this trouble to use the highest security technology around--the same as banks use--but put in this stupid flaw. I contacted them about it, recommending they change it, but they never returned my email. Pretty infuriating. This software is just too dangerous to even consider.
