StudioLine Photo Edition is a new image archive, which comes complete with integrated photo editing and innovative filter technology. The strength of StudioLine lies in its intelligent archival, flexible presentation, and printing options, as well as clever batch processing for easy and expedient editing and classification of large amounts of images.

StudioLine users can easily import the most popular picture formats, (JPEG, TIFF, GIF) from cameras, scanners, the computer's disks, and other sources, and then properly orientate, make corrections, and optimize. The image archive and integrated search engine organizes thousands of images with the help of system and user-defined criteria. With a few quick steps, a slide show is running on the computer, a photo album is uploaded to a Web site, or a few snapshots are e-mailed to an acquaintance. The extensive printing features also enable the user to create hard copies with a click of the mouse. The original photo always remains intact, providing the user with the active filters and effects in order to undo or modify at any time.

"A multitalented image tool"

This versatile imaging package does almost everything a casual photographer needs it to do. StudioLine Photo's bulky but handsome Mac-style interface makes it convenient for editing several photos at once. The program applies your operations immediately to any number of images. It maintains the original image in its image archive and keeps a record of any changes or enhancements. You can resize, crop, perform color corrections, and visually balance image quality and size. The program guides beginners through all steps of gallery creation and teaches good Web-design manners. We appreciate that the program gives you numerous templates for creating Web galleries, greeting cards, calendars, and CD covers. The demo version of the paid StudioLine Photo package improves on the free StudioLine Photo Basic by lifting limits on the number of photos in a gallery and by including several page templates. It also imports photos directly from most digital cameras. However, you still cannot change the gamma or the buttons. Easy to use and instructive, StudioLine Photo is a solid choice for novices and photo hobbyists.
