Publisher's description of PIMS Classic
PIMS Classic is a full inventory, point-of-sale, and accounting program for Macintosh. It includes manufacturing, service & repair, customer tracking, serial number tracking, barcoding, along with unlimited searching and reporting capabilities. It is compatible with a wide array of POS equipment including barcode scanners, receipt printers, pole displays, and electronic cash draws. The manufacturing section is capable of unlimited component nesting levels along with sub-assembly control. The purchasing/receiving sections are capable of automatic purchase order creation based on need and customer backorders. The accounting section has G/L, A/R, A/P and check writing along with bank and vendor reconciliations. Version 5.9.9 may include unspecified updates, enhancements, and bug fixes.

Version: PIMS Classic 5.9.9
"I LOVE this software (P.I.M.S.)..."
Pros: I have used the Professional Inventory Management System for years now. The Service/Repair and Rental modules are great. The built-in accounting saves our bookkeepers tons of hours a month, because it is really an automated Bookkeeper itself. I hear the eCommerce module is out of this world, but I haven't used it yet.
Cons: It's now free, and I had to buy it...

Pros: After going through five different software packages (we won't name them), we finally setted for PIMS. It has always delivered for us and has been rock-solid. Our datafile is almost 2-gig in size and we have more than 200,000 invoices run in almost 9 years (both in-house and eCommerce). P.S. I like the new "Splash" screen in this version...

Pros: We're a lone-time User of PIMS (both Mac and Windows) and use it for manufacturing and all other business functions. PIMS has always met or exceeded our needs. Our company has grown 15 fold since we first bought PIMS (30 mil+ a year). I would recommend PIMS for any business of any size or type.

"Everything it was promised to be"
Pros: I have used this product for more than 7 years. Now that the new version is being released, I will upgrade for sure. The program has allowed me to grow in my business. The tools were always there when I was ready to use them. I paid over $2000 for the program. Money well spent. Would do it again. Now they are giving it away for free.... WOW

"Far superior to anything on the market."
Pros: I used PIMS in our Retail Computer Dealership. It replaced all of our other business software, with the exception of MS Word. It was fully automated, never "bombed", and saved us dozens of hours a month. PIMS is visionary and user friendly, and provides all the cutting edge features needed for a complete business solution in today's global market. I can't believe they're giving it away for free?!
