Version: Auto Loan Calculator 1
"Good, straightforward and functional, but a bit narrow"
Pros: It's a smart method to use spreadsheets as a simple mean of calculating and displaying the results of such an important financial desicion as taking a car loan. The interface is selfexplanatory and for the greter part simple. It says that the file works only in newer Excell, but I have found that OpenOffice.org Calc (at least the version I use: 2.0.2) also manage it.
Cons: It can be difficult to use some of the functions whithout proper knowledge about spreadsheets. The author recognize this however, and suplement links for learning about what is needed. But still it can be quite frustrating to battle whith it. It is also surprisingly narrow in it's use: one could argue that any kind of loan (particurlary big ones such as for houses or cars) is important to evaluate and compare. Certainly that is still possible in this spreadsheet, but in some cases it might force you to make changes in how the spreadsheet works, and that's not always easy.

"AWESOME!!!! HIGHLY RECOMMEND!!!!"
Pros: I am manager of a BUY HERE PAY HERE portion of a car dealership and this software works wonderful. I simply put in the customers loan amount, their intrest rate, their payment...Boom it calculates the rest....Very user friendly....
