Publisher's description of Sticky Notes
The Sticky Notes application allows you to create electronic sticky notes directly on your Windows desktop. The Sticky Notes are just like paper post-it notes for your computer. Jot down tasks, messages, ideas, appointments, phone numbers, birthdays in a note and stick it on the desktop. A note can be positioned anywhere you wish, or hidden in your task bar, then searched and displayed later. Notes can be resized. The note's contents can be formatted to include fonts, colors, transparency and hyperlinks. Also notes have a click thru capability. Once on screen, notes will remain where placed until closed, even through reboots. Alarms can be added to a note to act as a reminder. Sticky Notes application is small and simple and all notes are kept in the text file. It does not use the registry.
Version 2.1 features a note's priority, an ability to modify a title's font and a color, hotkeys, in-place title edit, selecting a tray icon action, selecting a single or a double tray menu icon click, automatically backing up notes every 30 min, setting the title of new notes to the current date, making text in a note to be bulleted or numbered.

Cons: Could not get ALARM function to work.

Pros: Wonderful thing! I love it! It's true, it's better than the real thing! No garbage, no annoyance! The best! And you get to change fonts and colors!! Sweet!

Pros: I had been looking for a free alternative to Notezilla. Most of the alternatives I tried were lacking, there was no customization of colors, fonts, etc. But this program delivered it all, and for free.
Cons: You have to click "save" to save the note (otherwise it's lost on restart). I wish saving the note were a given.
Summary: There's no reason to pay for programs like Notezilla anymore.
