Publisher's description of R-Name
From Yoichi Tagaya:R-Name is a free batch-file-renaming utility. You simply drag-and-drop files (or folders) onto R-Name and they are automatically renamed based on your settings. You can even preview the changes before actually renaming the files! R-Name can rename files in various ways: Find and Replace characters (with regular expression) / Add, remove or replace file extensions like .jpg or .html / Add characters at the beginning or end of the filename, or even before a file extension / Sequential numbering.

Version: R-Name 3.0
Summary: Choose how you want your files renamed, drag the folder into the application window, click two buttons, and bam, you're finished. I love it. Great for renaming folders full of scans that come back from a photography lab.

Version: R-Name 3.0
Summary: When I use this application (OSX 10.2.6) it wrecks my icons. I have to use a disk repair utility to repair the problem. Hopefully this will be addressed in a follow on upgrade.
