Stellar Phoenix File Recovery finds deleted and lost files on your PC drives, but don't expect it to recover the files without registration.

The program's interface is clean and simple, with a menu along the top, and all information arranged like a spreadsheet. The application offers three types of search: Fast File, Advanced File, and Physical Disk. The Fast method finds recently deleted files in your Recycle Bin or chosen directories. To help decide which files to recover, you can easily sort all files by type, modification date, or size. The Advanced method is similar, but it looks for long-ago deleted files. The Physical Disk search looks at a corrupted drive sector-by-sector to piece together salvageable files.

We can attest to Stellar Phoenix File Recovery's speed and accuracy when finding files, but you must register the program to recover the found files. Intermediate to advanced users looking to recover corrupted drives are the target audience. Novice users looking to undelete an accidentally erased file should find a simpler tool elsewhere.

  Stellar Phoenix File Recovery

  Easy to use, so far very reliable

  Pros: Used it so far once, on a 200GB SATA drive, that was intermittently recognised by the BIOS. When recognised, Win XP said that it was not formatted. The manufacturers test program declared it beyond repair (with corr. error code), to be sent in for replacement. I had 93GB data on it and was able to save the 73GB I chose. More use will determine, whether it works so well on other drives.

  Cons: Pricey. Recovery tools tend to be expensive because people are desperate. Other solution: send the drive to professionally recover the data, whitch is even more expensive. I could have lived without the "lost" data, most of which were backed up anyway, but I was interested in the program to see whether it holds what it promises. It did.

  Pros: I like this program, very simple and easy to use. I had first heard about this program from friends, so I decided to give it a try. I will continue to use this.

  Cons: The price is a bit high, but it's not that bad.

  Pros: If there's no way to remove virus. Just format your disk and use this tool to recover your data. 90% can be recovered.

  It is good that it always operates on start up without instruction

  Pros: When I had problems and my system restore kept being affected I needed something to rely on so I bought Phoenix. It`s instant availability and comprehensive recovery of everything worked perfectly in safe mode.

  A full log of all my use of the program is also very useful.
