Publisher's description of StationRipper 1.13
From Ratajik Software:StationRipper will allow you to "record" various Internet radio stations. It allows you to get a list of available Shoutcast stations and start recording them, creating a single MP3 file for each song the station plays. It also will allow you to record up to 200 streams at one time. With Memory Recording, it will keep track of all the songs you download, copying the final song file to your music library. If that song gets rerecorded in the future, it will skip it (so, if you end up deleting it, it won't record, bloating your collection with music you don't want). You can get a list of stations to record quickly and easily, via Shoutcast. It remembers the stations you've recorded in the past, allowing you to easily rerecord them. You can track the music you've recorded, and listen to any station being recorded with a single mouse click.

Version: StationRipper 1.13
"Easy to use, best freeware radio ripper"
Pros: I have tested a lot of Radio rippers. The Shareware ones too. But out of these, Stationrippers was the best. It was easy to use and created a lot of Mp3 for me ^-^
Cons: I wanted to update the station ripper. But somehow the Homepage was sucked. Now it works again.

Version: StationRipper 1.13
"Excellent program...far better than others INCLUDING REPLAY RADIO"
Pros: Easy to use interface, completely replaces your need to download music illegally, doesn't put you at risk of the recording industry, good sound quality, great amount of songs downloaded automatically
Cons: Must use shoutcast and shoutcast-type stations, no settings to help download web broadcasts that fail to have id3 tags, lacks ability to slice a certain amount of minutes of recording for those stations without id3 support

Pros: This is program is great, its fast, and free, its five times faster than p2p because it streams.
Cons: Separation of songs isn't perfect, but good enough.

Version: StationRipper 1.13
Pros: Download more music then I thought possible! I got thousands of songs a day. I've stopped using p2p and ma using this now. I also like being able to download podcasts and tv with the newest. for the price of less that a new CD you can buy the full version and boy does it rock
Cons: It did fill my 200GB drive up - once it was full it just kept going, but didn't record any more. I cleared some room up and it started up again ok.

"Program works but webcasters may ban you from listening to their stations."
Pros: Rips mp3 files consistent with bit rates streamed. ID's files fairly well.
Cons: Users don't realize that many webcasters hate stream rippers (takes up their bandwith) and will permanently ban their IP address if they catch them. This happened to me with my favorite station. Lucky enough a nice note and small donation got me unbanned, but Listeners be forwarned.
