Version: Starcraft demo
"Im amazed this is still on Download.com. Its the best RTS game ever made."
Pros: Its ridiculously fun.
Battle.net was an awesome way to play online.
The game is ridiculously addicting.
The sounds are great.
The music is great.
The cut scenes are pretty awesome...they look like scenes from a movie.
I still play this game, 8 years after its release.
Cons: Graphics are pretty dated. At the time, they were pretty good. But they stink today.
Game only allowed 640x480 resolution. Maybe 800x600 as well, not sure.
Can only control 12 units at once.
Can only create a limited number of units.
Gamespace has defined building squares (newer games let you build anywhere on the map).

"Demo of one of the best games ever made"
Pros: Gamespot put it up on their "greatest games ever made" list the second week the article existed. That should tell you something very strong about how amazingly fun this RTS classic is. And once you get addicted, the full, endless-hour version is only $20. Blizzard knows how to make these games, and they deliver, big time.
Cons: The graphics aren't very impressive (but the minimum requirements are, considering how many units will be throwing ballistics at each other at once). One experiment of mine-I created a map with 600 units next to each other and let-er rip. Some minor slowdown occurred. The game is also very violent, has lots of blood and language, and is very hard to master.

"Very good, still playing it after 10 years!!"
Pros: Best ballanced real-time strategy game ever. nothing compairs. for graphics that are this old, it still amazes me, for its time these graphics are top-of-the-line. i enjoy this game much more than warcraft3 simply because of how ballanced all 3 races are. im waiting for starcraft 2!!!!!!
Cons: hacking, so many people hack, it astonishes me. DONT HACK! if you catch someone hacking, save the replay, and submit it to battle.net
