Spy Cleaner Gold 9.5

Pros: Downloaded @ Different Site in an attempt at fairness by reviewing the latest version of "Spy Cleaner Gold". I read the reviews and noticed the majority were written in 2005 or early 2006. I do try to write objectivly and my findings as follows.

The app. has only 511 Spywares in the database. The trial is 15 days full. The interface is clean and the app is easy to use. It can be purchased for about $16.00

Cons: Scan times are exsessive. Found no legit spyware on my PC however did identify 67 reg keys on my PC as spyware. The entire 67 keys identified are necessary components of my OS. None of my other anti-spy apps confirmed a single finding by "Spy Cleaner Gold" Thus 67 false positives. My findings are that the database is extremly small and the app. is full of fales positive ID's. There are several better app's. including a couple of free ones. I cannot recomend this app in any way. I feel that in the wrong hands it can be a dangereous app to use. A purchase would be a waste or money . Recomend "Counter Spy" which can be purchased for $19.95 and is far better in every way including tech. support. I uninstalled this app. due to my concerns that it could damage my OS. Also I noticed publisher comments to reviews. It is this reviewres opinion that publishers should refrain from commenting at this forum. This forum is for users, not publishers!
