We recommend using SAPI 5.0 but have made this older release available to developers who need it. The SAPI 4.0 SDK provides state of the art continuous speech recognition and text-to-speech engines, a rich set of tools, sample source code, and information needed for developing speech-enabled applications for Microsoft Windows. This version is the first release on CNET Download.com.
