Spam Assault! 4.0 Professional Edition works to get you removed from the bulk mailing lists. It accomplishes this by sending 'Undeliverable Mail' messages to the sender. While you're waiting to get removed, SAP lets you manage junk mail by supporting an unlimited number of blocked senders and domains (including wildcard matching). SAP also identifies fake reply-to addresses and marks offending messages for deletion. SAP also can block spam based on country of origin. Alternatively, add valid e-mail addresses to the Save List to ensure valid e-mail is never inadvertently deleted. For maximum protection, activate Save List Only mode and all messages not from someone in your Save List will be deleted. Automatically imports accounts from Outlook Express and Incredimail.

Version: Spam Assault Professional Edition 4.0

"Unstable, no scheduling"

Summary: Crashed as soon as I imported my "Bad" list. I think it can't handle so many records. No feature to schedule checking, no auto-delete, and no options. Says it can check sender for false return address but no such feature.

"Chronically Freezes System"

Summary: Worked with it, tweaked it several times, worked with it somemore, gave it 3 week tryout and still couldn't stop it from freezing system on almost every deletion cycle. My three finger salute needs a breather.Excellent concept, but needs modificatio... read more >>
