From Sean Werkema: SpaceMonger is a tool for keeping track of the free space on your computer. Each file or folder on a given drive is displayed in a box in the main window whose size is a relative comparison to all the other files in your system. So, for example, if the "Windows" box takes up 90% of the screen, the "C:\Windows" folder and all its sub-folders and files are taking up 90% of your "C:" drive.Editor's review of SpaceMonger
SpaceMonger is a simple-to-use, dandy little tool that quickly shows you how files and folders are using your memory. Its initial interface is primarily blank, with a few buttons at the top. Click the Open button to select which drive's memory should be checked.
Instead of creating a pie chart or similar type of graph, SpaceMonger maps your system's memory use according to the sizes of files and folders. The size of a box--which can represent a folder or file--quickly lets you know generally how much larger or smaller it is compared to the surrounding boxes. Clicking on a box provides details--actual file sizes and names--and a pop-up menu allows you to delete directly from the SpaceMonger map.
We certainly recommend this small but powerful program to users of all levels looking for an easy, handy addition to their file management toolkit.
