Publisher's description of Space Patrol

From Dream Cinema: Space Patrol is a 3D shooter/space simulator with elements of strategy. In 20 battle missions and 17 special missions the player will enjoy a taste of controlling five battle stations to protect the Earth from raving aliens. The battles are performed not only within our realistic solar system, but even in a hyperspace--the strangest place in the universe.

Editor's review of Space Patrol

3 star editors rating This first-person 3D space-shooter game's limited feature set and steep learning curve may convince casual gamers to find another way to pass the time. In Space Patrol, your goal is to save the Earth by blasting a number of ill-tempered aliens. The main view offers a first-person view of the action and is crowded by the various instruments and controls in your cockpit. The 3D graphics weren't terrible, but we've certainly seen better. However our main problem with Space Patrol is controlling your ship; there are far too many keystrokes and combos to actively remember, and you can't reconfigure the keyboard to find a more intuitive layout. Also, we had to consult the Program Files folder to even learn how to play, since there are no built-in help files or tutorials. You can choose to play a full campaign or embark on specific missions, but you won't find any advanced features. If you have time and energy to devote, we think Space Patrol can be rewarding, but it's too complicated for most average users.
