Version: Source Edit 4.0 revision 3
"May be a good software, but does not show you how to do what!"
Pros: Small, easy installation. Surely has some nice features.
Cons: Confusing menus. You don't find the options you seek. Configuring is not easy and clear, as I have seen on other editors.

Version: Source Edit 4.0 revision 3
"Excellent free customizable editor with hex editor,FTP,can be used as an IDE"
Pros: Autocomplete(Visual Studio style popup dropdown with Ctrl+space) although no object oriented intellisense like VS, allows you to define your own programming language with syntax. Supports almost ALL programming languages, has FTP, a web browser, has a HEX EDITOR in-built, you can associate your own tools (unlimited number)to perform tasks (external compilers, debuggers, or any program), macro recording, code templates(snippets of custom code to insert anywhere in your file), shortcut keys. It also has an Add-in editor which can be managed by writing a script. All in all, it's a CONFIGURABLE IDE for programming in any language provided you have the compiler, debugger, etc. with you and you put in 2 hours to customize it to your specific computer.
Cons: crashes sometimes

Version: Source Edit 4.0 revision 3
Pros: Recommended for experienced programmers, webpage designers, etc. tired of using notepad to view source code (html, css, java, etc). It colors certain words for easy viewing. Works with multiple programming/scripting languages (see their webpage for add-ons). It doesn't modify your html code with garbage (a lot of other software do). The side navigation bar means you don't have to leave the program to find another file to open. Since everything is kept in tabs at the top, your source code files stay organized and are easy to access. Provides you with line & column #s for debugging. Easy commenting and smart indenting. Plus many more features.
Cons: Every so often you may find that something is not colored when it should be. (Seldom is it ever colored wrong). It doesn't support every scripting language, and sometimes has trouble detecting the uncommon languages (ASM, Matlab). This is not a compile anything/everything program, for good reasons.

"Excellent product; easy to use; intuitive interface; great compiling speed"
Pros: Excellent; I am using it as an IDE for developing Java programs.
Cons: Like almost every thing about this software, except for some choices that seem obscure.
