Song Surgeon is an easy to use software tool for musicans. Slowing down music is the most common use for SS, but SS changes pitch and tempo independently of each other. SS also enables the user to create practice loops, allows the adustment of EQ settings, rips directly from CD's and converts between different file formats, including mp3, mp4, aac, wma, wav and aiff. Song Surgeon is a practical tool regardless of the instrument or music genre.

Version 1.0.0.5 supports higher quality mp3 bitrate settings.

  Excellent program and the best I have found so far.

  Pros: Great program. I found it to be excellent for working out some guitar leads which othrewise go by too quickly. Also found it useful to change keys of certain songs and save them with the changes. Helps for practising songs which we play in keys other the ones of the original recordings.

  Pros: I have played guitar for over 30 years, own a ton of equipment and this is the 1st product I have ever endorsed. Song surgeon lives up to its claims. It slows everything down to a tempo you can manage without the distortion or pitch change associated with slowing things down. Also, it was so simple to learn to use, I was up and running in less than 5 min. If you're a stickler like I am about learning all the parts of a tough solo or lick you will be sorry if you dont give this a try. S.Pope
