Each update of this IRC client adds improvements to an already-great program. We found Snak exceptionally functional, since it is packed with features geared toward the advanced user. For first-time users, a setup assistant organizes the information, while a complete and extensive manual makes the app easily accessible to folks of all skill levels. Snak's clean interface may not win any design awards, but the configuration options let you customize the way it looks to match your tastes. Each window houses several tabs or channels that make it easy to switch among chat rooms. Snak will let you connect to multiple servers at the same time--even those on different networks--so if you have a specific topic in mind, chances are you'll find it. Just browse the many available groups and choose a topic that interests you.
