Pros: Having learned to use this super software it is a real shame that, as a very occasional home user, I can no longer use it free of charge. I will now have to find and learn to use an alternative.

"The best FTP application I have used"
Pros: This is a neat application and has served me well for years. It is the best of a number I have tried. I am surprised that a charge has not been asked for before now.
Cons: Unnecessarily complicated in parts for me but that does not mean that is too complex for others who might be more demanding.

"Few improvements over the fact that it's no longer free."
Pros: It's one of the most reliable FTPs out there, great performance and work environment, used to be a must have software.
Cons: The fact that is no longer free and not only that, it's quite expensive. It doesn't shows much improvement to justify a quick change like that.

"It offers nothing more than a Free client"
Pros: I have used SmartFTP for several years and have enjoyed it.
Cons: But as it doesn't offer anything that a Free client like FileZilla can't do, it's time to say goodbye.
