Publisher's description of SmartDownload
From Netscape Communications:SmartDownload is a plug-in for Netscape browsers that is designed to assist you in downloading files from the Internet. It gives you the ability to pause and resume downloads, and to recover from a dropped Internet connection. SmartDownload has two components. The first is the SmartDownload Client, which displays the status of your download and gives you access to controls to pause, resume, and cancel it. The plug-in comes preconfigured so you can use it right away, but it also has advanced options that allow you to change its default settings. The second component of SmartDownload is the InfoBrowser.

Cons: Slooooow to download, using this software took me 3 days to download 500 Mb.
I have a cable connection I downloaded any other software, music and videos for over 200K/s. This software downloading speed 9K/s

Pros: This product doesent want to download on windows xp.maybe could dowload on other versions.but its your choice to download it or not.

"Can not get it to work in 98SE"
Summary: I downloaded and followed all of the instuctions and it will not run in Windows 98SE using Netscape Version 7.01. I sent e-mail to Netscape asking for help 2 weeks ago and not a single reply. It works fine in Netscape 4.76 but not in 7.01.
