Publisher's description of Shiira
From Shiira Project:Shiira is a Web browser written in Cocoa. It uses the KHTML rendering engine provided by Apple's Web Kit. Since this is the same rendering engine used by Safari, HTML content rendered by Shiira will look the same as in Apple's own browser. The Shiira Project is an attempt to development a Web browser using Web Kit. All source codes used in this software are publicly available under the BSD license. We hope that our code will help other developers just starting out on their own Web Kit projects.
Version 2.0 revamps the browser interface, among other new features.

Version: Shiira 2.0
"Creative and intuitive. New features."
Pros: Fast, good looking browser for the Mac from Japan. It's still in beta, but already a classy venture into the browser market for the Mac. "Shelf" feature for bookmarks and automatic import of Safari and Firefox bookmarks -- and Address Book entries a plus.
Give it a try!
Cons: Still a bit buggy. Won't render all pages correctly, but they say they're working on it.

Version: Shiira 2.0
"Good young browser that looks like it belongs on the mac."
Pros: Unlike fire fox, it looks like a real mac app without needing plug-ins/add-ons. It taps in to Key Chain so you don't have to re-type in all your usernames/passwords, yet your info is still secure and it handles RSS feeds well (unlike Camino) and and you can brows your feeds in detail in one page (unlike Fire fox).
Cons: It's still new, so there are some issues with the way _some_ type is displayed, and it did crash on one or two sites, but I did have 9 or 10 tabs open running flash intensive sites. Safari's done the same. I wouldn't replace Safari just yet, but it's a contender if leopards version isn't amazing enough.
